Karie Willyerd is a six-time Chief Learning/Talent Officer and is currently the Chief Customer Strategy Officer for Learning Technologies Group. Most recently she was the CLO for Visa. She is the only Chief Learning Officer to have taken two companies to ATD Best number one in the world -- Visa in 2022 and Sun Microsystems in 2009. She also was honored with the ATD Distinguished Contribution Award in 2017.
Karie served as the head of talent or learning for SAP Education, Solectron, Heinz, and Lockheed Martin Tactical Air. Dr. Willyerd is a prolific author on the future of work, learning, and human capital leadership, with two bestselling books and articles/blogs published in Harvard Business Review, Forbes, and all the major learning trade journals.
Additionally, she serves as the CLO in residence for Uplimit -- an intelligent learning platform, and Skillable -- a virtual labs provider. She is on the board of advisors for Ezra Coaching and is participating as a fellow in Harvard's School of Education Learning Innovation Lab. She lives with her family in Fort Collins, Colorado, where she is a member of CSU's Global Leadership Council.
